Huh, Midnight tailoring refers to Harandar and Voidstorm as the Rootlands and the Voidlands.
Rootlands was Harandar's original testing name, and Voidlands was used on K'aresh for certain void creatures. I wonder how intentional their re-use is here lol
The Special Assignment in Eversong!
Oh so there *is* an official treaty after the events of Zul'Aman leveling, not just a stalemate.
I'd love to see a quest or two delve into the details of that in 12.1 or elsewhere, just so we know what the new status quo is between the Amani and Blood Elves.
I still don't know what 'hex magic' is, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask
That's *almost* the right phrase, I guess
This questline really is the first time the Void Elves have finally felt like a group with their own themes.
I so hope they embrace the idea of being cosmic elves in distant hostile areas in future stories, because it's so much more compelling than lingering around Silvermoon.
Unfortunately I think the answer there is just narrative inconsistency between quest devs lol
Closest I'll ever get to using the Cannibalism racial on Cynya lol
I adore that in the Decimus side quest where you tell him facts about yourself, the little illusions he leaves behind actually change depending on if you said you favorite food is fruit, pastries, or corpses.
I love that these mobs that stack on other enemies in Nexus-Point Xenas can also just stack on top of each other lol
Plus just, it would be incredibly weird if all of his dialogue about how Anguish is a clearly new phenomenon that he knows nothing about was actually just... him lying the whole time lol
Anguish should just be blood magic! It really doesnβt need to be bogged down by Shadowlands.
Astalor has existed as this character a decade before Denathrius was even invented! And his motive to protect Silvermoon is still the same as ever.
Turning him into a secretly evil death magic wielder wouldn't do much other than undermine that last vestige of the TBC mindset.
Okay Iβve really got to say: I absolutely hate the theories that Astalor is a secret agent of Denathrius lol
It would be *incredibly* lame if we took the one Blood Elf who is still unambiguously themed around dark methods of survival, and blame that on secret cosmic death plots.
Yep! Likely from the Trading Post
Mages can spellsteal a temporary weapon enchant from the gnarldin in Zul'Aman, which makes me wish this was an actual weapon enchant lol
I love that they added a Kirin Tor recolor of the new Gilneas set named "Ambermill Rebel", I *need* to find a way to use this.
And it's not like the incremental raid buffs are going away anyways lol, so the issue that they're removing it for isn't even totally solved as a result.
Going to be sad to lose the cosmetic token systems and bonus mounts we've been getting.
I missed this amidst the launch of Midnight, but I'm really disappointed to see this news.
Raid Renowns were such a flavorful way of offering extra rewards and quality of life improvements to raids over time, and I hate that they're being gutted because of player power issues.
Here are a few examples!
Half-elf magitech character is SUCH a good combo, it's the perfect drama
Would be a fun twist if the human was the noble, and the high elf was the commoner
Today is the five-year anniversary of the day I finally decided to take the plunge and start playing FFXIV.
There have been ups and downs more than I expected the last few years, but I'm forever so grateful I gave the game and its life-changingly phenomenal story a chance.
This particular color variant (which is named 'Dawnchaser' after Dezco's tribe) also matches their 2H Totem weapon pretty perfectly.
Very much obsessed with these Sunwalker sets, and I don't even play a tauren lol
Honestly SO jealous I never thought to make a set like this, it might be the best necromancer look I've seen in a transmog.
They'll likely be trading post items!
the gay stache scares them
Lots of lore specifically about An'she and their beliefs about him, the blades from these sets are based on his and forged during a solar eclipse.
The new Sun Roc mounts are also considered his messengers, and are newly returning to Kalimdor and revitalizing An'she stories.
The new Sunwalker sets give a TON of Tauren lore, introducing an ancient group of proto-paladins called the Duskrunners.
Seems like they existed 1000+ years ago prior to the creation of Desolace, and settled/patrolled tauren lands wielding An'she's power.
Oh cool, the new world events in 12.0.5 have challenge tiers!
It seems like they're sloooooowly testing the waters on integrating Heroic World Tier from Legion Remix into the regular game.
