Yep! Shalamayne is made up of two elven swords, Shalla'tor and Ellemayne. Each one was given to one of the split halves of Varian during his comic run, and when they reunited it formed Shalamayne.

It's a shame that they never fixed the orientation of the fel-corrupted version of Shalla'tor for Remix, so players will be carrying it the wrong way for the rest of time lol

I like how he will probably never be called "High Druid" because that would just sound like he's a druid who really likes pot

The original plan wasn't to kill him, just to have him go missing (and probably have him show up on Zandalar)

The swap to killing him is forever baffling (and sadly, probably rooted in 'faction parity' more than anything else)

The Amani textures are fascinating, when compared to player trolls. They *could* be a player-ready model, with some tweaking.

They're not *exactly* armor-compatible, but the only reason why is the position of their arms and body. The textures themselves are properly mirrored.

For a clearer comparison of top (Amani NPC) vs bottom (Darkspear player), the areas marked in green would be considered "player-compatible". Red is incorrect textures, orange are correct but warped textures.

Again, not perfect, but a *lot* closer to useable than most NPC models.

Also: now that Survival can officially dual-wield, can we finally allow them to use the Dark Ranger hero tree?

We've seen melee Dark Rangers literally all over the game, even up to their iconic characters like Sylvanas and Nathanos. Please?

I am glad that the dual-wielding *option* is coming back, but I very much dislike the fantasy shift from a such a unique focus around 2h spears and pet coordination to... shotguns and tar bombs and daggers???

Really putting a damper on my excitement for Alpha, unfortunately.

As an aside, bringing back dual-wielding Survival is unfortunately the biggest Monkey's Paw in the current iteration, because now it's just switching to the opposite problem: the hard meta will be daggers only.

I *really* hope that transmog options will alleviate this, at least.

My Resto Shaman friend is going *through* it because the whole utility kit of the spec is being almost entirely removed, and their healing rotation reduced two buttons.

It's obviously first build of Alpha and things can change, but as an overall philosophy, I'm not a fan so far.
