Flashback to this summer—great flying with you, Jared Isaacman. Congratulations on your swearing-in as NASA Administrator! Capable leadership, clear vision, deep passion, and a true respect for safety.

Looking forward to seeing NASA fly with you at the helm.

Integrity has defined my brother’s service to our nation, as a combat veteran, astronaut, and US Senator. Any effort to undermine that is an abuse of power.

As a former NASA Astronaut and a retired U.S. Navy Captain, Scott Kelly knows a thing or two about leadership and taking on big challenges. I am honored to have the support of @stationcdrkelly.bsky.social and so many incredible leaders across Colorado’s 4th Congressional District! LET'S GO!

‘til death do us part.

Celebrating a little something tonight. Picked up this Rosé on my recent girls’ trip to Greece. Saved for a special occasion. And well, special occasion is now.

Be back later.

trans kids, immigrants, or unhoused people are dehumanized—then we’re not really against hate. We’re just against feeling it ourselves.

Empathy has to be consistent. Or it’s not empathy at all.

You can’t be horrified by hate only when it’s aimed at you.

Yes, the comments about Texas “deserving” the floods are cruel. I’ve seen them. I’ve called them out.

But if we only get upset when we are the target—and stay silent when

Roots are complicated. But care doesn’t have to be.

While I no longer align with many of the views that shaped that part of Texas—and truthfully, I often feel far from it now—this is still close to my roots. The land shaped me, even if I’ve grown in another direction.

I’ll always care about the people.

Now that same river is surging. Flooding towns.

Sweeping away homes, memories, and lives in minutes.

It’s heartbreaking to witness.

I grew up in China Spring, just outside Waco.

The rivers, the quiet roads, the sticky heat after a storm—I know these places. And right now, they’re underwater.

Towns like Comfort, Kerrville, and others along the Guadalupe have been devastated. Lives lost. Families missing. And the damage happened fast—rising water giving little time to react.

Found this while reflecting on childhood summer days—a photograph of me at summer camp (my sister Cheri behind me) in the Texas Hill Country, near the Guadalupe River. Circa 1984.

Back then, it was all sunburns, lazy floats in the river. A kind of freedom I didn’t yet know was rare.

Good morning to everyone who voted full-body NO on home rule in DougCo, Colorado

To the rest of you, bless your anti-democratic little hearts.

Home Rule isn’t Freedom: Don’t be Fooled Why Douglas County’s charter vote is about more than governance—and what I’ve learned standing at democracy’s edge

“Home rule” sounds harmless—but opens the door to political overreach and inequality.

From poverty, abuse, and mental illness to NASA, I’ve seen what’s at stake.

Here’s why I’m voting no:

Honored to moderate yesterday’s town hall with Colorado AG @philweiser.bsky.social.

A powerful turnout and inspiring conversation. Grateful for your leadership, your story, and your tireless work for all Coloradans.

So my Congresswoman Lauren Boebert accused Sen. Alex Padilla of a federal crime for asking a question at a press conference.

Bold move from someone who got herself escorted out of a theater for *checks notes* hands-on interference.

So many urgent issues. They all point back to one thing: democracy.

@StationCDRKelly.bsky.social spoke to us after his 3rd trip to Ukraine. He’s seen firsthand what’s at stake.

Watch his message for @u24.gov.ua.

This is what democracy looks like.

Thank you, Scott, for your steadfast leadership.

Last fall, @stationcdrkelly.bsky.social visited Kyiv for the 3rd time in the last 3 years. Our ambassador emphasized the resilience he saw in Ukrainians and urged his country and the world to stand with Ukraine.

Thank you, Scott!

When NASA guts comms—after cutting the Chief Scientist, DEIA, and Tech & Policy offices—it’s not just budgets. It’s values.

NASA should bring the public along, not leave them behind in the name of “efficiency.”

PAO: first to go, last to know.
Big. Huge. Mistake.

As a former NASA communicator, these are not “fluff” roles. They are mission-critical—often working long hours to break down complicated missions, ensure transparency during crisis, and celebrate achievements with every American, not just the ones in the control room.

They’ve kept the public engaged, inspired the next generation of explorers, and earned trust in government through clarity, transparency, and wonder.

Those communicators are now being downsized. Quietly. As if their role is expendable.

Shrinking The NASA Office Of Communications NASA Sources report that OCOMM

The news that NASA is shrinking its Office of Communications is a strategic unraveling.

For decades, NASA’s storytellers—writers, visual producers, social media teams, public affairs officers—have turned complex science into awe.

Trump said Russia & Ukraine are like “kids fighting in a park.”

Pretty sure he’s never even been to a park.

It’s war. Bombed hospitals. War crimes. Dead civilians.

You reckless, bone-spur-riddled dimwit. Wannabe dictator.

An action a day keeps the baddies away. It really doesn’t have to be much. That little bit every day adds up.

It’s also pretty much better than handwringing and doomscrolling.

Yesterday’s attack in Boulder was a targeted act of terrorism. Six were injured during a peaceful walk to honor Israeli hostages — a clear act of antisemitism.

There is no place for antisemitism in America.

Our hearts are with the victims and their families. We will not be silent.

CORRECTION: Nancy Mace is equally exhausting.

It was Nancy Mace — not Joni Ernst — who said LGB should divorce the T.

Forgive me. I confuse bigots easily.
(Y’all understand forgiveness, right?)

The point stands. So does my support.
