I think the best advice I can offer, if you don't mind, is to take a step back when that happens. I hope that doesn't sound condescending—I've just had times in my life where I was trapped wasted hours of my life trying to beat a game.

Yeah I feel like a handful of fighting games (or just some games in general) have that effect, where you have to dedicate hours of your day learning a combo or a guide or something, and the game still punishes you for not doing like 1/20th of it correctly.

I remember drawing this in 2016 and posting it in the jjba reddit and someone just critiqued it and so idk if I ever posted it again but here's a old josuke fan art for you.

There's a time and place for critiquing, but they view art as something for them to pick apart, so they can feel smart for shooting down someone's happiness/hard work—they think their impoliteness is a favour

So cool!! I absolutely love the pose and the face; super in-style with Jojo! I honestly think the rendering of his jacket and everything is so good—I can't believe this was done in 2016!!

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

If you're looking for something you think you should do, I think you could (in addition to posting art) post about your interests! Or maybe also talk to other artists about their interests, if you share any with them!

I actually think you do quite a lot already! Hosting those magma drawing collabs and bringing everyone together is a lot of fun, and I think that's really good (in terms of socializing)!

I don't think you're doing anything particularly wrong. But then again, I don't even know if I'm doing anything particularly correct.

I think you're right about most artists being a bit more introverted though—I've tried socializing with some other artists too, with sometimes little to no result.
