ekko has a great singing voice but he's very lowkey about it. jinx kept asking him to sing for him. he initially declines bc he's embarrassed and thinks she's teasing him, but now he'll sing her lullabies while she puts her head on his chest and falls asleep to his voice
ekko usually drives because he's fucking terrified of jinx's driving. jinx never actually got her license so getting in a car with her is a genuine safety hazard. one time as a prank, they let her drive when picking up caitlyn tho. consider it an initiation rite, really
jinx is the one that makes the first move when they actually get together (ekko gave up a long time ago ok). she tries to plan it out in advance, but ends up just blurting it out and then feeling stupid as hell until ekko.exe finally loads up to tell her he feels the same way
-for jinx, it hits her randomly when they're hanging out one day. ekko smiles at her and it just feels different. and she doesnt know Why it's different, but once she understands it's because she likes him she just does Not know how to act around him anymore
for the longest time, they're one of those "everyone knows they're in love with each other except for them" cases. ekko always knew. he realized he had feelings for her when he was like 12 and just resigned himself to a life of unrequited love-
ekko likes fixing old, broken electronics he finds at electronics disposal. meanwhile jinx has broken tube tv that was a hand-me-down from vi. ekko fixed an old snes console and jinx fixed the tv. when they're bored, they sit down together and play mario kart (jinx always wins)
they're an artist couple and are both big into graffiti! when they move in together, one of the first things they do is spray paint one of the walls full of art...it's not actually allowed according to their lease, but they'll worry abt that when they move out
they both got a sweet tooth and love candy! they usually share sour patch kids. jinx always takes the soda ones cause theyre her favorite and ekko hates them. ekko's secret is that they're his favorite too, he just lets her think otherwise
ekko does most of the cooking! jinx is a Real younger sibling so she's never cooked a day in her life. she simply does Not want to cook and leaves it all to ekko. otherwise she'll just resort to instant meals and takeout. she's a great baker tho and likes making them cookies!
ekko is 100% a skater boy. jinx, despite her many talents, can't fucking skate for shit. she'd probably get the hang of it easy enough if she just let ekko help her out, but she insists she's a natural talent so just ends up looking stupid
its not a hungry post if i don't bring up mountain dew. so mountain dew: jinx thinks it's the best soda in the world. ekko (dis)respectfully disagrees and think it's the nastiest shit ever. it spawned plenty of stupid arguments, but despite his bitching he always buys it for her
clothes! they own a bunch of matching pjs and jinx loves buying them cringy couple clothes for shits and giggles. only to get humbled when ekko will unironically insist they wear them. they also like to swap and share jackets...jinx has definitely stolen 90% of his hoodies
plant dad ekko x cat mom jinx! ekko loves botany and their entire apartment is filled with plants. once jinx adopts a cat (she found a little black cat on the street, it followed her around, and she said "sure, free real estate") he makes sure all their plants are safe for cats!
jinx loves pda+physical contact. ekko is more lowkey and private w/ his affection. she's always hugging him from behind, crawling into his lap, reaching out to hold his hand & stealing kisses from him. when theyre alone however ekko gets her back just as good (and she loves it)
when they fall asleep together it always starts with ekko holding jinx. being held by ekko makes her feel safe (plus as established earlier he's just a human furnace). once they actually fall asleep however, jinx ends up being the big spoon, she's just all over him in her sleep
also morning person ekko vs night owl jinx. he's a light sleeper and always feels her crawling in bed, huddling closer to him in the middle of the night. when he wakes up in the morning and she's still fast asleep, he stays in bed for as long as he can just to hold her longer
lets talk sleeping habits! they both have TERRIBLE sleep schedules tbh and regularly have to drag the other person to bed when they get too caught up working on their inventions or insomnia just won't let them rest (usually it's jinx, let's be honest)
jinx texts ekko the most random, out of pocket shit all throughout the day just to mess with him. depending on his mood he either plays along with it or hes just completely flabbergasted (it's usually the latter tbh)
jinx starts doing ekko's nails! tbh she just got caught staring at his hands one too many times (he got some big ol' hands and it makes her a little insane) so she tried play it off by saying she just thought he should try out nailpolish and he agreed: queue at home mani sessions
ekko loves to play with jinx's hair as a form of stimming. at first he tries to do it secretly and stops whenever he thinks he'll get caught, but jinx finally takes pity on him and lets him know she knew the whole time so he can just keep doing it
jinx is a huge yapper and infodumps abt everything under the sun. ekko is a great listener + jinx is an entertaining storyteller to boot, so they can spend whole days just sitting on the couch with jinx ranting away while ekko just quietly listens, entertained and enamored
jinx runs cold but doesn't get cold easily, meanwhile ekko is a human furnace but hates the cold. jinx loves putting her feet on his calves or her cold hands on his neck to annoy him
(he bitches abt it but he loves cuddles and always lets her steal his body heat)
