Haven't opened DMs (I think it's ppt related, not the reblog of my scp mutual's reblog of a sonic joke now). It's more on the last bit where I feel like I can't make myself feel better whether I do what I think will do it or not. I don't wanna worry about every little thing because I already do

Matthew: I know some think he'd be into D&D, and I agree :) some 80's consideration is the moral panic during then. If a said a headcanon, this costume whether his older sibling or his (older siblings introducing younger siblings to their interests), would be used in the campaign. Wanna get in character? Kevin: Based on my comparisons of him to cats. I couldn't figure out other costume ideas that he'd actually wanna wear, so projecting that by saying he'd be so excited for Halloween he'd not know which costume and settle with the cat. All that and settled for something basic. Jack: I thought it would be fun if he mixed together costumes. I've been listening to horror clown type of music like Departing Sanity (Dark Deception) and Hokus Pokus and I've seen users make Jack an entertainer role. The Jack-o-lantern is a pun.. I also wanted to reference that Doey pumpkin in the official art (hey Jack's holding sm like that :D) I won't be ranting about metaphorical stuff, though here's what I heard from someone who lived their 80s life about halloween stuff back then and I got these: They stopped trick or treating in elementary. You'd be considered queer if you did and "time to grow up". Even parents wouldn't want them to. My Jack headcanon where he's treated like an older kid for looking older reminds me of this. I do see my Kevin also liking Halloween. It does give me an idea that while he's got this [prior to playcare] mindset that other kids are immature, he realizes he likes this 'immature thing' and still wants to continue doing it. Meanwhile Matthew has more "act mature" pressure.

No lighting And since you're reading this, I'm gonna likely make an untagged Matthew post regarding these certain takes when it comes to romance. Misleading title, but I heavily relate to Matthew and I think if people heard what it's like for someone like him, then users won't just go "wow this is gonna he ooc and boring", because it's complicated. Things like one-sided crushes unable to be reciprocated due to being on the aromantic spectrum. So you have a clue what I wanna do. If you're curious that's something I'll do after my off platform art trade. And you can search my stuff here if you're interested. I just think it's not tag worthy and no one would wanna see it tagged, so if you wanna you can just check out my stuff for it. Gtg now so I won't rant further

My Joseph has Growth Hormone Defiancy. I left it to interpretation whether it was due to some hunger when living in poverty, or he had it but due to the costs of medication they couldn't really do anything for Joseph. 'Being a small bean came at a price'

Been letting it sit in my head for quite a while so I could get ideas and I'm glad I waited. There's been big changes and for the better because Kevin's perspective would've thrown off my readers (due to him overthinking leading to infodumping), so switching the start perspective to Quinn worked

I'm writing a fic for Kevin, Quinn, and yes, Joseph as well ;). Organizing my concepts and ideas so I could have a general idea for how it'll flow, then after I'll organize scene sections by doing "convey these hcs, personalities, what your going for"

I did this in ibis paint where I used my traditional art and colored it in from there. This took three days.

Joseph's 1993 hat concept. In my not yet out fic cover art he doesn't have a hat and it's 1990, but I didn't wanna add a hat so I made it a future thing. He got it from doing well with academics, which he usually sucks at, so he got to choose something from the reward box and what do you know? A limited edition Boogie Bot helmet! He doesn't wanna anyone taking it, so he tries hiding it by wearing a beanie over his helmet.

Kevin can easily make friends but isn't good at keeping them until there's no one left. I've seen troublemakers still have a friend group, so the "friends" heads are circled and there's movement blur for change. Ones pointing, pointing at someone to fight, accusations, and the other with a fist. An adult is scolding him for a fight he's in "same kid throughout comic", and pointing. Kevin follows in his parents example through showing his frustrations through violence. He's never enjoyed feeling pain himself and would rather harm others instead of potentially being harmed again, and if he thinks they're gonna hurt him, he's attack them even in moments of intense play because "I'll hurt you before you hurt me first". He doesn't wanna be seen as an animal, a monster even. Horns and tail for problem child status. Black tank top to show his injuries he's gotten from said fights, no facial scar since it's the past before the incident. Looks at hands to see what he's fighting with. Either at Playhouse or the school. Likely Playhouse because Matthew is noted to break up fights there. The incident is shown how he got his scar where his mom scratches him. Kevin has a canine tooth to show "dog". Matthew being there is what's noted of him, understanding

The start of the comic was to put in the perspective of Joseph, who's about 4, when his dad would come home. Hearing the door open but not exactly seeing him, but knowing it's dad. If dad caught him up that late (2:12PM night), how'd he react, and if it was a good time to greet him The part where Carter's opening a bag in what's sorta Joseph's perspective, the border looks like a picture frame, but Carter's facing away to reflect the absence. In the background of the closeup hand/bag, a picture frame of Joseph's mom (named Rachel) is with a vase of flowers to foreshadow, there's a calendar marking days (idk, up to interpretation what's marked), Joseph's shoes (no shoelaces) to reflect his age. Also doesn't have some teeth yet (didn't do references for it so may be inaccurate) Rachel died of a heart disease/attack, which is based on (present in about 1985 I'd say) where it was considered a "man's disease" and I've seen a comment section about it say how it ruined them when their mom died because they glanced over it. You'd see her hand is placed over her heart in the pictures. Jack reminds Kevin of Joseph. For that, "Josie" and "Jackie" (also scp 529 reference cause thought it was a cute [nick]name), how Joseph would cry for his parents, and would've lead a similar life to Jack's if his mom didn't die

Huggy Wuggy toy, the toy that's described to be made for children whose parents are too busy with work to give attention to child, so the children can hug Huggy. Ironic how Carter is an underpaid Playtime CO worker. Did you notice the VHS parallels. That his bff also got sick, like, very very sick. Like his mom

I like making plays off words, like it Joseph's comic title. One interpretation is Carter trying to make their situation work out after Rachel died which lead to poverty. The other interpretation is the Bigger Body Initiative where they "make it work", the "it" being the toy, making them work

I'm doing the taller Kevin (they're both shorter than average). I hc Joseph as Medic and he and Doey have a big size difference, and I like the idea of Kevin giving off "Protector wall" from build, he's Safe Haven defender, and "has his walls up". A lot of imaginative scenarios have Joseph shorter

I'm honestly surprised that there's more "taller Joseph and shorter Kevin" designs than vise versa. It's very unexpected

When someone helped him, it was for their own benefit. He survived when he shouldn't have, it garnered public attention, and Playtime did a publicity stunt by making him their own. What was thought to be out of kindness, now #DoeytheDoughman

Back then I had confusion with Joseph's hair color shading, so it turns shading from light to dark across older drawings of him (including other art). Aiming for either dirty blond or light brown. Mystery color hair since it's undecided

I headcanon Jack is the one to say he won't eat us, but I made it Kevin. I'm a big fan of the "poke poke" Kevin design. Made around April or May

Based on my headcanon art where in the document photos there's a photo like this in it. This artwork was an off platform teased to the headcanon display of Matthew. In case you wanna know what's happening, Matthew's being pressured by a scientist, Sawyer, to cut his hair (as a test of obedience as an idea of how he'd act as Doey) because it's important to Matthew. Matthew although isn't being forced, more so the "After we cut your hair we'd move onto taking your document photos" and the pressure to be a dream child makes him give in, and he thinks (also believes his presumed adoptive family would like it better) he'd cry it out at his new home, buuut.

My Matthew has an oc sibling. Poppy reminds him of her. I don't think Matthew would resent Poppy. He assumed she ran because he wanted to escape, so he comes to an understanding of the possibility. Also holds respect for her, so I disagree with him hating on Poppy (fandom take) Kevin though I'd agree with. Has trust issues and she left without warning. Jack would be where being a kid like the other toys, he needs care too, so having Poppy helped relieve responsibilities, so she was like his friend. I can see him wanting to look everywhere for her like the "we need you Poppy" wall art.

50's Doey is with little friends, and who's this? Yeah. I thought of Frosty when I saw your 50s Doey I referenced him. The legs look weird because I forgot the feet would go to the floor for gravity after making Doey's face. I do like the thought Kevin would have a Gameboy since I was thinking of stuff similar like mine's headphones for the sensory. I did notice Jack has 80's Doey, and 50's has a red bow tie and one orange and one yellow button for the Doey colors. Really does remind me of a snowman-. I love ur Kissy too so I added her to the group. Idk if this is intentional but I noticed Matthew's shoes looks similar to 50's feet.

Although I had more I wanted to make, one was with Theodore and Kevin where Theo tries sleeping so he's about to pull the Catnap toy's tail for the fragrance until Kevin's like "no no. Falling asleep first at sleepovers is not recommended". Jack's was gonna be watching 90's Doey but idk what 90's Doey would do in a cartoon episode yet. Matthew was based on smoking being popular where his parents are smoking indoors and he's coughing.

It means family, gifts, community. Then the second, it's means femininity, hair individuality, your identity. The next it had occurred. It means drunk driving prevention. Now, you hold onto it because it's a part of you. It's like the red horse bows warning they may kick. You hide when you fear when you're overwhelmed you'd lash out, but they bother you anyways even when you ask to be left alone and have a break. They made him cut his hair off before the pictures to his document. Sawyer didn't have the reasons the others did. "It makes him look not put together" "It'll get in the way during surgery" No no. Sawyer knows Matthew hair is important to him. He tested him by saying that they'd cut his hair then they'd move onto taking pictures, and kept repeating that over again. Matthew's overwhelmed because of pressure and fear of invisible consequences if he didn't follow through so he did even though he's sad, but thinks he'd cry when he's finally at his adopted family's home. It was a test to see if he'd listen to commands as Doey for the Bigger Bodies Initiative - - - - You wanted it to happen to you, but you weren't alone. They suffered because of the drunk driver- thehedee---- because of the suicide ideation. Because of YOU. You wished upon it for any day to occur. Never got your desired end result from your ideation. . . . . . . Why couldn't you save them in shared pain. You couldn't even join them. You failed at both. Could've stayed awake longer like you are now. Thinking of it. Yeah. . . . That's all we could do.

He knows himself more. It's beyond others. They wanna see the simple things only and not their deeper meaning. That's why he's so dream-like. The Dream Child is everything yet not good enough. He, who's adored by the adults around him placed upon a pedestal, and showered with praise and expectations. Threatened to be taken down by those who put him there in the first place.

Scar info: He covered his face with his arms which is why his face has less damage (and inspired off the scars on doeys monster form). It was all from the car accident which got him orphaned, a miracle survivor. Glass scars is mainly on his sides, metal in front, his moles aren't clear but they're mainly near his chest and shoulders (iris has hers on her legs and sullivan has his on his face). Stretch marks are due to emotional eating. His favorite attire is mainly consistent with loose fitting clothes, no shoelaces, and hairties and hairbows My Matthew is red, Kevin is orange, and Jack is yellow

Became pale after the sad sad from not going outside and wearing long sleeved clothes (I realized during my comic that he never goes outside really, so I was thinking now he'd still be pale even after)

Secretly likes D&D, Cooking, and hanging out with his buddies. Iris Halland: Little sister. Possibly has ADHD? (Misdiagnosed and is actually autistic). Would've wanted to be a military dog handlers. Very determind when her mind's set to something. Little devil type of sibling. Nice, just wants to display dominance in the sibling hierarchy. Loves when Nana comes over with her doggy. Throws the dog's ball at siblings so Dog rams into them. won't be afraid to beat them up. Loves styling hair, playing outside, dress up, and, best of all, fist fighting.

The Adventures of the Word Wizard was made by his older brother Sullivan but due to college he stopped reading and making those books. His favorite movie is Mary Poppins and wanted to be her for Halloween but due to gender stuff back then he didn't. Wants to be an architect but says he wants to be either a therapist or a doctor, and an adult recommends him a job similar to their's instead. Matthew was pressured by his parents to take up babysitting. He brought up wanting to do it since he notices how good he is with children, so they did but it became a forced thing. He pushed though because the kids who are ignored need him, but he's so scared that he'd hurt them. It did get better with exposure. They're like his family. He got his red bow from his little sister Iris. She gave it to him so he can put his hair out his face (back when he started growing it out) but so he doesn't think she's being nice she insults him with "I recommended not to because yo face ugly. Cover it"
