Xenogears was a game people wouldn't stfu about for years before Xenoblade was ever around. You like Legend of Legaia. Xenogears has the most comparable battle system. It's hard to believe that's a game you've never played.

It's slow, clunky, and god forbid that world map. It looked cool going into it, but I just couldn't with this game.
