What we’ve got with Ken Sim and his enablers in ABC is a political roller coaster.

During the initial ABC motion the city manager said 1% is roughly equivalent to 12M in revenue, so 7% (which is what he requested to keep the lights on) is about $84M - that's the fiscal hole. Maybe an additional $15M in 'pressures'?

These guys are going to fire a bunch of bureaucrats without having first reduced the amount of bureaucracy they manage. Seems less than ideal for a government so focused on permitting times.

So yeah. Are there 500 middle managers to fire? I doubt it - you still need some. So instead they're going to go after non-management exempt staff.
