Havenโt cycled in town in ages but really hadnโt geared myself up again for the lack of space for cycling. The city REALLY needs to improve for road users other than cars, buses & trucks. Most of my headspace was taken up hoping Iโd make it home to my kids in one piece! Do better DCCโฆ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐ดโโ๏ธ๐
06.03.2025 18:50 โ ๐ 41 ๐ 11 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0Very few Dutch cyclists wear helmets. Yet theirs are among the safest streets on earth. Why?
They understand itโs more beneficial to calm motor traffic, build dedicated infrastructure, and nurture a culture of everyday cycling. Not force the most vulnerable users to armour up.

Ten simple rules for developing good reading habits during graduate school and beyond
To me, the most important are:
Read often, read broadly (incl. older papers and outside your field), and learn to read some papers in detail and others more superficially (and quickly)
The Guardian has reproduced the full text of Bishop Budde's sermon. It's a compelling read. Available here:
