ANNOUNCEMENT I've been given opportunity to join events that allows me to discover and even try out new indie games and lucky enough to even interact with some of the game devs. It brings me joy to be able to see many human creators making things that bring joy when things are rough for all of us. As a creator who often struggle to be seen, I want them to be seen more and given all the support and opportunities that they deserve. So it makes it more important to state that I won't be supporting games and game developers that uses LLM (generated AI). Not only images, but also music and writing too. If a game developers I supported in the past start using it, I will cease from supporting them. If you're truly care about each other, please take the stance against generated AI. A lot of its usage have been harmful for both people and the environment and have contributed to a lot of things that affects our lives. It's not just about it having "slop" quality, it's not just about "stealing our works" It's also about people using it to create fake news and deepfakes to spread misinformation and putting marginalized people, women, people of color, queer folks and even underaged children in more vulnerable position.

It's about exploited, underpaid workers exposed to abusive contents to moderate inputs for this technology. It's about data center draining powers and leaving the surrounding communities, more often marginalized populations without electricity or clean water. It's about constantly rising prices of electronic products that have become crucial for day to day life. I'm aware it's a growing challenge to avoid this technology, but I still want to do what I can. Just because something is pushed on you, just because it's normalized, it doesn't mean that it's okay and we should just give up and let it make our lives worse.
