Was thinking about this - it's literally ALL 18 LigaMX teams, even the weakest ones, with basically MLS's top 18 teams, give or take. So MLS's better teams should take out the weaker LigaMX's teams. Some outliers for sure.

Why would they reject the bid? Do you think it was Nico's request? Hard to reject going to La Liga...

100% Minnesota is always a problem for the Quakes. Super frustrating-I was thinking that Fisher investing in Bruce Arena, Chicho, JM, etc is to spruce up the team to sell it. Maybe a shiny new DP & top 6 playoff position would make the team even more valuable in the short term. but what do I know...

Awesome. My home USL team almost took you guys out! I wish I could say that they carried that confidence into the rest of their regular season that year, but it did not! USL is like watching college basketball - glimpses of brilliance with lots of errors and misses. Ex MLS with some NCAA stars...

I was at a Monterey Bay (California) FC USOC match 2 yrs ago (my home team) - we'd beaten the SJ Earthquakes for a cupset. LAFC, as the reigning MLS cup champions, had a bye to meet the winner of that game. MBFC took LAFC to 2 overtimes/penalties, down to like the 18th penalty. Never say die. 😜

This is a great geek-out on how in the US, Major League Soccer #MLS can be like Japan, and more deliberately and considerately change their calendar to match the international seasonal calendars, with similar concerns to US club owners.

And he did it in WAY fewer games! That's pretty amazing. Hope he gets a few more braces and hat tricks! They should let him take penalties to crush Landon Donovan's record. :)

These are dopamine/serotonin inducing questions instead of cortisol/stress inducing questions. You want them on the former as you leave them, they'll remember you well, on a chemical level. I hope that helps!

What other good interviewing tips do you have?

End with appreciative questions, not stressful ones - ask what they love about their work, the org, what are their proudest moments, how do they maintain hope, etc.

Let the interviewer control the opening small-talk questions and just be happy to be in the moment.

So to begin, obviously you'll want to go in hot, in terms of projecting enthusiasm and commitment, happy to be there, motivated, etc. Make sure your zoom/teams/FaceTime frame and background are composed and all your sound/video/wifi is all working well so there aren't those distractions.
