18.07.2025 10:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This year I've again presented on #psConfEu, this time in Malmo, Sweden.
I was sick most of the conference, but made the most of the one talk I was able to give: PowerShell Profiler Internals.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWBk...
Hope to see you all next year!
And just today when I went to do another chore, I went to grab the protective glasses without even thinking about it.
So success in conditioning myself to be more safe!
Iβve got 3M 2890, and they are excellent.
And are also great for cutting onions.
Kind of weird to be posting about my New Yearβs resolution in the middle of summer. But for this year, it was not that I lose some weight but using eye protection every time I do something dangerous.
Cleaning the drain: wear eye protection.
Drilling a hole in the wall: wear eye protection.

Really enjoyed presenting with @rprust.bsky.social today at #psconfeu about Teaching yourself Pester.
Last minute replacement. I hope @jakubjares.com feels better.

Tobias showing #psconfeu how to use ScriptBlock. ScriptBlocks are the basis of #powershell, and everyone wants to learn about them.

23.04.2025 17:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@deactv8.bsky.social where do you see the time spent per line in the Trace output, I don't see it. Every command just has 1+ even if I sleep for 10 seconds.
23.04.2025 12:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks for the shout out. :) Profiler actually uses Set-PSDebug to hook into powershell engine as well.
23.04.2025 12:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Small fixes to zlocation2, rc1 was not working at all for me. So I guess no-one except for me was dogfooding.

...easier filtering, and ordering. And performance should be a bit better (but it was good already), because now the objects that we get from DB are used all the way up to the user, instead of putting them to hashtables and copies of hashtables.
And tests are also better.
Published new version of ZLocation2 for #powershell github.com/nohwnd/ZLoca... New feature that shows recently accessed folders, I have hard time remembering what test projects I created before weekend, and this will help. It was also a user ask.
I also return objects now, not hashtables, for...

10.04.2025 04:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No hurry I donβt rely on the crtificate working in any way. It is just a fun project :)
09.04.2025 19:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sure send them, could be useful to see even if I would not use them.

09.04.2025 06:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My intuition in this post was incorrect. I just fixed this thing and it requires the LEDs to be in parallel.
08.04.2025 19:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0ok will try that, I added some more info on the post above, but looks like you have it figured out, and I know there is an acme provider in traefik, so as long as I can automate the DNS this should be the easiest option.
08.04.2025 12:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But maybe Iβm wrong and the token is just short because you donβt want to be renewing using the same token every time and maybe I can issue myself as many certificates as I want using the same token and in that case, I can see the Acme work.
08.04.2025 11:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Reading a tiny bit more about how the stuff works. It seems that every renewal requires a new token and so in favor of not disturbing the automatic stuff that the provider does on the public side, it might be easier for me to just figure out the way to download the certificate bundle
08.04.2025 11:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0β¦month. And you are saying that can be the acme provider?
08.04.2025 11:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I will look into it, I have the first mile done automatically by my domain registrar, so if you go to Jares.dev right now you will see it is domain with no content, but has https. I downloaded that certificate bundle to my local server. Now I just need something to do that download for me every
