Much fun (& some horse-sized leeches), followed by a very fine pint at Fell NQ. A (slightly unhinged) balm for the soul 😁.

Also picked this new DC compact edition of Supergirl from @travellingmanuk.bsky.social - not a series I’ve ever read before but the art looks gorgeous and I’ve heard only good things about the story

Yep - and a limited amount of terrain bits. Reckon they need an expert to come and advise on how to revamp that side of things, stock with better gear (ie yours) and maybe come back roughly every month or so - all they’d need to do is cover your travel and hotel 😁

Hah! I go to Manchester for work every 4-6 weeks at the moment. I ‘strategically’ travel down on Sunday for early Monday work, which just happens to enable the campaign to keep going - which is a joy! Whether I actually *need* to be in Manchester for work that frequently, I cannot possible comment 😁

En route to that there Manchester for session 23 (!) of ftf #DCC with The Expendables, and the grand finale of Harley Stroh’s Blades Against Death. In the spirit of DCC, the trains from Scotland have, once again, been chaotic carnage 😂 ☠️⚔️

I think those differences should become more obvious as we get more into the game - it may be I spent a little too much time on the mechanics, and not enough time letting each of the characters 'breathe', this first session 😂

1st time running TOR for me, first time playing for the rest. I think we were just about getting the hang of (some of) the rules by end of session 😂. It’s so distinctive, oozing Tolkien (aided by tailored mechanics and gorgeous artwork). Once we get used to the crunch, think it'll be really great.
