Interesting design. Elephant's feet across the carriageway without cycle decals on the ground. Not a part of the parallel crossing either (no belisha beacons)

It has always been an awful route with those obstacle course barriers on the way to the pier

Very cool! This style of angled kerb looks like a Camden-Council-special. I think it's a good thing assuming the design minimises the severity of impact if a bike were to make contact with it. I hope it becomes a national standard if it isn't already. cc @rantyhighwayman.bsky.social

It should be a raised parallel crossing since there're cycle lanes on both ends. Plenty of space for it since they have space for the large turning radius

What did they change? Did they remove the "edge of carriageway" markings from the cycle tracks? The environmental clues look about the same from the motorists' perspective in the pics
