I think there was a plan to make International Way bus/taxi only. Not sure if it's still the case

It will be converted to a 2-way cycle track. Going to be a great connection. But quite worrying that Honour Lee Ave will become the neighbourhood through route for motorists

Yes it's permanent. I saw a notice a few months ago but can't find it now

Tickets are definitely going to be challenged and thrown out. Then some consultants need to be hired to change the signs. Great work, councilπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Very interesting to see embedded concrete barriers into the raised tarmac. Usually protection stops when zigzag markings begin, for some reason. @rantyhighwayman.bsky.social

Should do it like Paris and line the whole driveway with bollards on both sides!

I want to see the court case of a person on cycle prosecuted for turning left hereπŸ˜‚

Right! Pic 2 removed a pole (from the looks of the patch). But looks like they actually dug it up and put it back in pic 1πŸ˜‚

Pole in pic 2 should have been relocated to outside the cycle lane!

Interesting design. Elephant's feet across the carriageway without cycle decals on the ground. Not a part of the parallel crossing either (no belisha beacons)

It has always been an awful route with those obstacle course barriers on the way to the pier

Looking forward to the two-way filter! There's another sign under wraps when approaching from the north. Haven't seen one from the west or the south yetπŸ€“

Ahhh so this design still misses the mark. Looks like another case of "should've just copied the Dutch"

Very cool! This style of angled kerb looks like a Camden-Council-special. I think it's a good thing assuming the design minimises the severity of impact if a bike were to make contact with it. I hope it becomes a national standard if it isn't already. cc @rantyhighwayman.bsky.social

Ah looks like it's going to be a camera filter. Still one-way but not physically enforced

Yes probably a good idea to leave it if it's going to remain gated for years. I'm still confused at the crossing improvements done at this closed road:

It should be a raised parallel crossing since there're cycle lanes on both ends. Plenty of space for it since they have space for the large turning radius

08.04.2025 15:03 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That large turning radius and crossing distance. Lack of wayfinding at the signals. Come onπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Very nice to see more parentheses route badges! Tho I thought fingerposts are "outlawed" in the Cycleway Design Guide?

Corporate needs you to find the differences between this picture and this picture.
They're the same picture.

What did they change? Did they remove the "edge of carriageway" markings from the cycle tracks? The environmental clues look about the same from the motorists' perspective in the pics
