🦦 Otters have arrived at Oak Tree Farm Nature Reserve, confirmed by the first sightings by the marvellous volunteer camera trap team.

On the 18th Oct & 19th Nov a single otter was filmed exploring the area in the copse, probably encouraged by the floods in this area.

For younger journalists, and even those with a few more years behind us, it can be incredibly damaging.

Reading things properly would make ALL the difference.

Some responses to some admittedly more controversial letters in recent months have been awful - and the vitriol is not directed at the writer, but instead our journalists. This exclusively comes from people who have not read them properly and assume they are our own opinion.

A recent problem we have had, which really shows how much this has grown as an issue, involves readers' letters. We have published these online, in a nearly identical format, for years, and always make it clear on the page that they are letters, not articles written by journalists.

Putting my serious hat on, this is a growing and real problem.
Journalists have had to change the way we do things to try and battle the abuse that comes our way from people who haven't actually read what they are getting angry about.

Rare bird spotted in Herefordshire after 'extinction' claim A RARE species of bird has been spotted in Herefordshire after a wildlife trust claimed it was thought to be "locally extinct".

So it turns out they're not "locally extinct"... But still a lovely thing to see!

Previous notable flooding events at the Old Bridge in Hereford, not including the all-time record of 6.11m in 2020. Right now at this spot the river is at 5.34m and this is now not unusual...

Herefordshire has had three decent flooding events in three months.
