Luke is not like other men. Luke is always watching. And he will stop at nothing to get what he wants…no matter the consequences. But what happens when the tables are turned? What happens when someone watches the voyeur? The Voyeur is part thriller, part erotica, all with an undertone of Jim Ody’s trademark humour and urban tone. It is gritty, graphic, and complicated. Luke as a main character is incredibly unlikeable, yet as a reader you can’t pull away, and want him to succeed. It is an incredible testament to the skill of the writer that Luke works. He is unreliable as a narrator, but you hang on his every thought and word. The characters are complicated throughout, and you find yourself questioning everything you think you know. Jim Ody continues to branch out in his style and here he once again proves that he is an accomplished multi-genre author, which is a rare skill to have. His writing never fails to make me laugh, make me think, and consistently throws in twists that I never see coming. The Voyeur is no exception to this: a wonderfully curated journey through the seedy eyes of the voyeur.

The Voyeur by Jim Ody is a fun-filled psychological/erotic thriller. As the mystery unfolds, the characters take you on a journey through a seedy underworld, carefully curated through the eyes of a voyeur. But what if someone else is watching? @jimodyauthor.bsky.social has nailed it again 📚💙🩸📚

A 4 star review of Credenza by Wendy Dalrymple (releases June 13th). The review praises the character development and twists and turns in the unique story. Cosy gothic horror about a cursed object A 5 star review of Phobophobia by Jyl Glenn and Savannah R. Fischer. An anthology of stories featuring weird and wonderful phobias, including fear of amputation, fear of nail varnish, fear of moths, and fear of bellybuttons. This is an incredible anthology from a stellar list of indie horror authors A 4 star review of The Secrets of Blackthorn House by Marie McWilliams. A rich, cosy gothic horror that reminded me of Crimson Peak A 5 star review of The Bloodvein Wand by Elizabeth J. Brown. The third instalment of The Brimstone Chorus, picking up after The Laughing Policeman and The Fractured Few. This is full of gore, humour, brilliant characters and twists.
