Likening PhD holders to a (non-functional) algorithm is a form of dehumanisation & anti-intellectualism that is a bellwether for contemporary fascism. Essentially it's a typical β if not the archetypal β first step towards fascism: to dehumanise, deskill, defund, and, ultimately, fire the academics.

I know a lot of public libraries now have zine libraries that circulate their collection. In my area, there is the Watertown, MA public library (which also hosts a zine fest).
Another option might be to donate to a community-based organization that focuses upon abolition.

Counterpoint to the AHA Committee: it is NOT OUR JOB TO TEACH AI literacy. It is our job to teach students history, critical thinking; how to interrogate and analyse sources, primary and secondary; how to write and weave historical narratives; how to communicate history to the public and more.

there's so much racism here that it feels pointless to point out how much chronic pain and injury migrant workers have to endure, often without any real medical care, but: it IS one of the primary violences of our system that we eat "healthy" fruits and vegetables that are soaked in laborers' pain
