I've been banging this drum for the past four months or so: DOGE and Russ Vought broke the appropriations process. What's the point of going through the arduous process of crafting 12 spending bills, clearing them through committee and getting them through two chambers if Trump does rescissions?

I’m talking about the 2 years we had Democratic control. Here’s one example of dozens. Dems talked about Trump invoking the Insurrection Act in his 1st term. Then he literally led an insurrection. The wording of the Insurrection Act is very vague. They should have strengthened it. They make laws.

Trump is starting a Civil War because he is the lead sociopath in a cabal of sociopaths who want total control over all aspects of American society. Trump hasn’t faced consequences for any of his crimes. His role in sex abuse of minors won’t be any different. He still hasn’t paid E Jean Carroll.

I am angry that Democrats in office for Biden’s 4 years did almost nothing to prepare for this. The abuse of existing law was literally outlined for them in Project 2025 and yet they did nothing to anticipate and prevent.

ICE has made Chicago restaurants lose business, detained and deported their workers (without due process), and turned their city into a pawn for Donald Trump. Of course they don’t want ICE in their businesses.
