06.04.2025 18:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Very much a first play that needed a few things ironed out, but by its close I found this to be deeply moving. Omari Douglas is displays a beautiful ode to queer history. Fundamentally, showed that the seeds that were sewn by the generation before are alive and vital now.

03.04.2025 18:32 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Very interesting observations. Iβm still hoping for an Imelda win. Dolly deserves something.
02.04.2025 09:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also worth noting, we donβt want highlights, weβd like to see the full thing aired. How is this still not happening?
31.03.2025 15:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not to say Fiddler is a shoo-in, but Iβd be surprised if there isnβt a sweep. I do hate a sweep. Make it interesting.
31.03.2025 11:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Feels quite bleak that thereβs no performance from Hello, Dolly! but who can blame them when it feels like a night just to celebrate Fiddler?
Fiddler was obviously brilliant, but awards are so very tedious when thereβs so many nominations for one show, no?
Never sure if this critic actually enjoys theatre tbh

I guess Iβm the dissenting voice. For me, this was a talented cast let down by heavy-handed writing and direction that doesnβt allow them to dig deeper until itβs far too late in the play. Julie Hesmondhalgh & David Sheilds are masterful in its final moments. Lucky I stayed past the interval, though

22.03.2025 09:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Some of these harsh Mincemeat reviews feel like bad faith, no?
22.03.2025 09:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Take a revelatory Blanche, a ferociously good Stella, a brilliant interpretation of Stanley, and add beautiful staging, haunting moments, and exquisite design, and you have a near-perfect Streetcar. Bravo!
22.03.2025 09:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Finally got to see The Years, which, of course, deserves all its success. A stirring set of performances propel what is already a genius adaptation. A faultless production with the most striking ending.

It exploits all the theatricality of true crime podcasts/docs to its full potential.
Little Shop of Horrors at Sheffield Crucible poster
Started off the year with a bit of a dud.
While Sheffieldβs Little Shop of Horrors boasted a talented cast, the ideas in this production felt too over-thought and under-developed for me.
THEATRE 2025, a thread.

11.03.2025 11:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thrilled this is getting more of a life; loved it at the Dorfman, and loved it on NT at Home.
Verrrry intrigued if any cast changes, as it was perfect at the Nash
Hi Bluesky, I havenβt posted on here yet but I do intend to.
Who is good to follow? and who has Michael Harrisonβs number so I can petition a studio recording of Love, Look In My Window by Imelda Staunton?
Kind regards.
