Wonderful story

Here are a couple of recently processed images from a cloudy flight into the coast range near Petersburg, Alaska. Images taken 7/1/2014.

Going back over some older images, and discovered this one tonight. Just goes to show how our taste changes over time. This is from a flight around Denali in the Alaska Range, taken in the summer of 2014. I like the ridge line and ice flutings, but I especially love the clouds in this image!

Mount Baker, aka Koma Kulshan, is a nearby active volcano. Baker has the second-most thermally active crater in the Cascade Range (after Mount St. Helens). It has the heaviest glacier cover of the Cascade volcanoes, and is one of the snowiest places in the world. Image taken two days ago.

Wonderful image! The landscape itself is great by itself, but the clouds put this over the top. Great eye, and nice IR processing.
