The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.
The Metroid visual retrospective artbook seems to be stuck pre delivery on Amazon, mine got randomly canceled this morning for no reason. It seems to be available everywhere else so if you preordered it on Amazon (at least .fr or .com.be) might as well cancel it and get it somewhere else.

The clock and archway of St Martin le Grand church in Coney Street, York. The clock is still missing the naval officer from the top. The building was badly damaged in 1942 but the clock survived.

Recently discovered Procreate and this. Tool. Is. AMAZING!! It's so intuitive and fun to use, been years since I doodled anything anymore at all and going back to it after all this time feels amazing. So so fun. Just lemme wrap/improve those sketches as much as I can then I'll post some stuff!

Little known story about my time at Retro Studios. A very large portion of the Prime series concept art was done traditionally, and most of it was unceremoniously shoved into a flat file. I got permission and a small budget to organize, frame and hang select images (from DKC as well) in the studio.
