I've said something similar before, but I wish more people drew medieval Gaels in historically accurate saffron tunics and embroidered jerkins instead of going on Braveheart-derived flights of fancy. (Though admittedly, I do indulge in Braveheart-derived fantasy from time to time)

I'm a bit stressed out tbh.

I've gotten zero commissions in the last few weeks and I have to pay off a debt and buy more groceries. Really hope I can also make rent, but things aren't looking too good.

Very nice to see a more historically grounded drawing of a Celtic (especially Pictish) warrior. Often artists use Celts irrespective of ethnicity as an excuse to indulge in some kind of Braveheart-derived fantasy. (Cool as it is 😅)
