Confidence shows it matters.
60% without training feel very confident phoning home vs 68% with training. Training could be a simple lever to pull.

The primary/secondary behaviour gap is widening.
Disruption levels were once closely aligned, but primary classrooms are now more likely than secondary to have lessons derailed by behaviour — with primary reaching new highs in the latest data.

🚨 54% of primary teachers say behaviour disrupted their last lesson so much that teaching and learning stopped.
🚨 43% of secondary teachers report the same.
Since 2021, disruption has been rising in both phases but faster in primary.
The picture is similar in secondary with 84% of secondary teachers & 87% of secondary leaders also disagreeing 📩

88% of primary teachers and 87% of primary leaders disagree that emails should be routinely read by senior leaders.

In 2021, 64% of men didn’t know whether their school had a menopause support policy. By 2026, that’s fallen to 55%.

Feelings about attendance robots are firmly mixed:
👍 Positive: 11% secondary | 7% primary
🤔 Mixed: 48% secondary | 39% primary
👎 Negative: 42% secondary | 54% primary
And 1-in-5 secondary teachers and 1-in-4 primary teachers wouldn’t want one in their classroom at all.
Attendance robots are being trialled in schools - but most teachers haven’t encountered one yet.
Just 5% of secondary & 1% of primary teachers have had one in their classroom. 81% of secondary & 72% of primary teachers have never heard of them.
