I’m going to the 25th anniversary celebration of the iconic indie rock opera, The Transfused tomorrow! Creators Nomy, Radio and Rachel (The Need) and other cast and crew will be on the panel!

A “victim advocate” is speaking about how she got a desk within the Vice Unit at Seattle Police Department and how she goes along with them as they conduct vice stings so she can provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered support. Stings are never trauma-informed: they are traumatizing.

i was reading a book about lgbtq+ community and it actually said lots of intersex people are transphobic. that hasn't been my experience. i think the authors are paying too much attention to certain x accounts, forgetting how many other voices are suppressed or exiled due to transphobic harassment.

Here is a summary of a 2018 King County survey of people who use heroin, meth, or crack. It is a little dated but shows a sizeable population of people who use each substance say that access to free, clean smoking equipment would reduce injections.

Just in case some readers are wondering: safer smoking supply is harm reduction because it reduces injections that are inherently more risky and produces less chemical fumes (e.g. regular foils have coating that produces harmful fumes when heated above certain temperature but smoking foils don't).
