No luck seeing the eastern black redstart at Filey between 9-11.30am, of course it turned up when I arrived home! But itโs always a win sketching watercolour outside. Filey bay looking south this morning. Cold compared to recently in a fresh southerly breeze.

LesserYlegs and GW Teal at Filey Dams today. Ive seen mistakes made with Ylegs before so we (Tony Houseman & Nick Robinson) were extra cautious b4 putting news out. Bright sunlight and distance made the legs look very orangy (had to wait an age to confirm it lacked a wingbar)
Beaut of a Sub Alp at Filey today (found by Syd Cochrane) although silent, plumage and white in T5 hopefully make it an Eastern ๐ค๐ @nybirdnews.bsky.social
