Here are some pages from 2024 when I got to see the periodical cicadas over in Chicago. Basically a variation on how I handle the moths, ants, etc. bugs I give an almond head shape - the mouth isn't always visible unless needed for an expression. Also: bsky.app/profile/moth... I swear to god so many doctors downplay the severity of the pain. I couldn't get anyone to take me seriously until after I had top. I showed one my 15" scar and said "they gave me tramadol for this and I didn't need it because my periods are worse." HER EYES GOT SO BIG

I had heard about it but I appreciate the heads-up anyway, the surgeon didn't mention at the meeting so I could very well not have known! I always look stuff up before things like this. I watched SO many videos before I had top to know exactly what to expect.

I wasn't ready to talk about it before, but I might have endometriosis. I've always had a LOT of pain with cycles and we also think it could be a factor in my reoccurring GI issues. The surgeon is MIGS certified and has handled stuff like this before, so I'm hoping to have positive news after.

OOF owie! My top recovery actually went really well and I wasn't in much pain at all, I was just super super wiped out and my arms didn't come back online a while.

We're doing everything but the ovaries (might take 1 ovary depending on the condition, scans unclear, but I'm OK with that).

It'll be laparoscopic, possibly with a robot, they're seeing which hospital is available sooner. I had basically double incision turned into one big long 15" scar and it was incredibly worth it but it took me OUT for weeks!!

Just got things lined up for my hysterectomy ✌️ No date yet but they ballparked six months. I'll be so glad to get rid of it after decades of that thing being a nuisance. Also it'll be interesting to see how recovery compares to top surgery!
