AI can identify treatment gaps for patients with macular disease, study shows
Using artificial intelligence (AI) in eye clinics could reduce both undertreatment and overtreatment of neovascular or βwetβ age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
An AI system can identify patients who are being under-treated or over-treated for sight-threatening macular disease. Validated at two UK eye centres, the AI could help transform NHS monitoring.
