t was an honor to work on the Kpop Demon Hunters illustration/loading screen for Fortnite. It's one of my favorite movies of the year. Enjoy!

I wanted to display a simple, sweet moment between two husbands in love, casually talking and walking in the soft cold of Fall 🍂 Jayce is gently wrapping an arm around Viktor's shoulder while walking beside him. Vik is holding a cup of coffee, discussing about trivial things under Jayce's loving gaze.

This image shows what I believe is the first amateur detection of light echoes from SN1987a - 33 years after the event. The light echoes are produced when the initial flash from SN1987a is subsequently reflected off interstellar dust as light travels outward from the event. Direct light from the supernova was observed on Earth in 1987, and we then see light reflected from dust in the interstellar space arriving later because it has travelled further to reach us. The animation was created by subtracting two Luminance images taken almost 8 years apart, on 24th Oct 2012 and 21st Sep 2020 respectively, in order to create a difference image which was then superimposed on a regular colour image of the area. The expanding light echoes appear as roughly circular concentric arcs, centered on SN1987a's location. This clearly shows how they have expanded during the 8 years. The echoes also appear to be moving outwards at superluminal speed: With a shift of ~47 pixels in the image, and an image resolution of 0.764"/pixel, the movement corresponds to around 28 light years at the distance of the Large Magellanig Cloud where the supernova occurred (163,000 light years away). This is clearly much faster than the speed of light given there are only 8 years between the images. This apparent superluminal speed is only an illusion though...

This page depicts three comic strips in a stack. Each strip is a parody of a different classic newspaper comic strip. At the same time, the page shows my dog hero and cat mage characters chasing each other, from the bottom left to the top right. They run in and around the comic strips, interacting with their events. The bottom comic is a parody of Calvin and Hobbes called Alvin and Dobbes. The cat climbs into Alvin's wagon as he rides it down a hill. Alvin asks if the cat ever feels out of place, like he belongs somewhere else? In the last panel, the wagon hits a rock and launches them both in the air, with the car launching up and out of the strip. The middle comic is a parody of Blondie called Blondy. The Dagwood character is making a huge sandwich, and says all it needs is a hot dog. He reaches down and accidentally grabs the dog hero, lifting him up into the strip. The dog hero climbs up out of the strip by climbing up the sandwich, ruining it. The Dagwood character looks said and says he finally went too far. The top comic is a parody of Rex Morgan MD called Rex Mason MD. In the first panel, the doctor asks a woman if she is still seeing tiny creatures. In the last panel, we see a close up of the woman screaming as the dog hero and cat mage climb up through the panel, before chasing each other off the page in the top right.

Funny pages

Two images of space, one on top of the other. The bottom half depicts a swirling patch of red and magenta clouds, with bright blue, six-pointed spots shining through. In the top half, the same image is seen in shades of orange, but the stars are much more numerous, filling the screen almost completely.
