David Strong in his high poly form. I still have yet to texture him but I'm getting close to that portion of the pipeline.
David Strong is equip with a Falcata Sword, a hefty thick medal shield called The Castle Shield, and medium leather armor.
The shields shape and form is specifically designed to be of a castle window. It's done like this for several reasons; a good cut away, symbolism of who David Strong is, creates this unique look, etc

Coral Reef the Maid. To explain my process going forward, now that I have all of Coral Reef's elements in place I can now adjust them accordingly. This will be size proportions, detail mapping, figuring out what brushes I need to make (or Alpha's), etc
It's important to note that mid-progress isn't the final visuals nor is it the quality. It's these steps that allow you the canvas to make that stunning visuals.
The Sea-Shell Mace. This weapon was chosen out of various alternatives by my live stream chat on Twitch. There I had people suggest and vote on which main weapon the Coral Reef Mermaid would be accustomed to.
The Sea-Shell Mace is an oceanic primitive weapon. This weapon is made from two seashells wrapped around a piece of driftwood via various types of seaweed. I can't wait to get down to the texturing of this weapon. It's going to be exciting to finally watch this weapon take shape.

Sculpting this creature in ZBrush from its Blackout made me realize that we make our struggles in art if we don't use the proper supports and make the foundations like; reference boarding (Moon Board, Atlas etc), blocking out, light drawing, writing out the details, etc.
The texturing, Mapping out all the details you want on your piece is important. Get the colors down, the look and feel that you're happy with, and leave room to grow. If you do all that, congratulations, you have a foundation to work off off. Even better if you find anything off. Sometimes you need make it ugly to know what you really want. Going one path can make you second guess yourself.
The finalization When getting to the end of a character/art piece, especially for a game or any big project, you need to be okay and comfortable that this is likely not the end of your creations progression and changes. Time after you'll see where you can improve, add, and subtract.
For those who struggle or are new to art

The wielder of this extra large friendship bracelet is a female warrior character named Jamela Shubert. (Y'all will see her in a bit. It's been fun designing her rose dress.)
That gold ring up top will be jinggling on the handle. When this weapon is flung I plan to make the sound effect one of wind chimes to replicate the jinghling sound of the ring.
Rose Ring Blade πΉ, a dangerous frisbee. I wouldn't advise trying to catch it.
Making the story, the world, the characters, weapons is unwindfully relaxing. So going from words to art is a massive energizing feeling.
