USPS Needed Stamps For Its 250th Anniversary. Local Cartoonist Chris Ware Delivered Ware, a contributor to The New Yorker who began his career in Chicago’s alt weeklies, designed a sheet of 20 stamps that show a mail carrier's neighborhood journey. The stamps go on sale Wednesday.

Exhibition of work-in-progress sketches of The Adventures of Team Pom at the Youth Wing of Central Brooklyn Public Library. Display of characters—Ruby, black girl with glasses and an afro, Roberta a small asian character with a top knot, and Agnes, a Mexican American girl with pigtails. Vitrines contain sketches, several versions of Squid Happens covers.
