Idk I feel like the artstyle has really degraded.
It's genuinely a shame... if this had been a PvE OG Marathon inspired game I would've loved it.
To add - its very intuitive to make the enemy markers florescent pink on a neon background. I could very much see those ! What awesome design...

I also love the originals.
But I really don't know what they were thinking. I actually thought the early cinematics looked really exciting! Neon felt like an accent rather than a main attraction.

I think it also looks very different compared to before in terms of saturation and colour design. Its a lot more extreme??? I don't even think it looks as good as it did in the alphas/betas & cinematics??? It looks like shit??? It hurts???
Tried Marathon. Extraction shooter and art theft mess aside... Idk what they did to the artstyle after that whole legal trouble- but the colours saturation is screwed up tenfold and I am being so serious when I say: I have an eyestrain induced headache
