I visited MagicCon Vegas this past week for their Magic x Final Fantasy crossover, and while I was on the con floor in Red XIII, I stumbled into a little impromptu party meetup with Cloud, Barret, and Tifa!

From LVFC this year. I got envious that @bronzephantom.bsky.social could actually sit on his tail, so I had to give it a try. It did not work out well.

IDK about file size, but pixel dimensions, it'll resize and chew up anything over 2000 pixels on the long side afaik. I've taken to pre-emptively resizing my posts to 1920 pixels before posting to avoid it as a result.

This is awful. Six months is all it took. Free education for everyone, broadcast directly to them all day every day, just gone. And people brainwashed by hateful propaganda will cheer it on. Cheer on the destruction of their future. IDK man. Every day feels a little more hopeless. 42 months to go.

In summary:

- This call campaign needs to last at least a month
- As many calls as possible, so bring your friends
- Make sure each call lasts as long as possible
- Each time you make a call, mention it's not the first time you've called about this

Its the virtue signaling that their ilk claims to despise so much in the left. That little asterisk displays their moral superiority over you. Lets you (and them!) know that they have the moral upperhand, and therefore their argument is good and just. It's not about protecting anyone. Never was.

I like a good silly horror movie. This film takes itself way too seriously for that though, and it is not nearly well-enough written. It really has no idea what it's trying to do or trying to be. It feels almost like it was written serious and then the studio came in and said "nah, make it funny."

It's easy to see what the endgame is of this Visa and Mastercard business is. It's the censorship and removal of anything that doesn't strictly adhere to traditional, puritanical Christian values. That's what these people want. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise or think they'll stop.

To be clear this Visa and Mastercard censorship campaign is just the return of the 90s, Jack Thompson brand of "Violence in Video Games" fundamentalist moral panic. It wasn't true then, and isn't true now.

Adult content in games doesn't normalize violence against women or make kids into abusers.

Putting little asterisks in words you don't like is the most "12-year-old going on the internet to puriteen actual adults" shit that I can think of. It lays bare that this isn't about r*pe or w*men; It's about their inability to cope with the existence of things outside their own stunted worldview.

Gotta say, I was really looking forward to Death of a Unicorn, and... worse than just being bad, it actually made me ANGRY. I really don't get mad at movies, but this film was so dumb, so badly written, with such unlikable characters and poor performances and bad CGI... I just don't have words.

Jeez, I'm glad you're ok. Had something similar happen in Walnut Creek earlier this year, but it was at 3AM, so there was no traffic at all. Roads in this state are insane. Like I said, glad you're safe.

This is Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. They're doing a crossover event with Dragon Quest that gives you a skin that modifies Red XIII's appearance into a sabrecat from Dragon Quest.
