The more than 200,000 members of NALC show up every day to ensure Americans nationwide receive the universal mail service they depend on. On Sunday, letter carriers and community supporters in cities across the country rallied together for a fair contract that reflects the dedication of our members.

Sixth COLA is $250 The sixth regular cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for career letter carriers under the 2023-2026 National Agreement was $250 annually following the release of the January consumer price index (CPI).

Starting May 21, 2025, unused portions of a letter carrier’s annual uniform allowance can be carried over for 12 months after the uniform anniversary date. Watch to learn how this works, including examples and limits on carryover amounts.

Alamo Branch 421 carrier and Army veteran Ernest Fuentes Jr. was delivering mail in San Antonio, TX, when he saw a truck lose control and flip over. He immediately ran toward the crash, called 911 and helped the driver climb out of the vehicle. Thank you for your heroism, Brother Fuentes!

EXCLUSIVE: Mail carrier saves two lives after house explosion Misty Newman said she was on her way home to Meadowlands when she saw a ball of fire come up from the explosion in a neighborhood she had delivered mail to.

Last weekend, Duluth, MN Branch 114 member Misty Newman sprang into action, rescuing 2 residents following a deadly explosion. Looking out for our communities is fundamental to what letter carriers do & we’re proud to count heroes like Misty among our ranks.
