If we made the green energy transition this war would be unthinkable and these authoritarians wouldn’t be in power — not in the US, not in Iran, not in Saudi Arabia, not in Russia. Hydrocarbons are killing our freedom and just plain killing us.
We are a nation of 349M, yet one man decided to launch our nation into a reckless, illegal war without congressional authorization or counsel or the support of the American people. He didn’t think he had any duty to sell it or serve the people’s interests. This is why despotic rule is so dangerous.
A more honest and accurate headline would be:
"Trump assured massive profits to fuel Putin's war on Europe while simultaneously paying off oil execs who bankrolled his campaign."

I don't really believe the Trump admin doesn't have a strategy. I think they just don't want to reveal it to the American people because the primary beneficiaries are NOT the American people. That and they are the most thin-skinned "leaders" ever and can't take the criticism.

It makes perfect sense when you accept that Trump is not making decision in the best interests of the country, but instead in the interest of his personal legacy and leaving generational wealth and power. Also, don't doubt that Putin's interests weren't part of this as well. When will people wake up
