Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

Had such a great time running this poetry comics workshop at Zinezilla yesterday. One thing I asked participants to do was complete the sentence “The truest thing I know is…” then boil their original art / collage for it down to a simple single shape, then lay it all out into a single group piece...
