The terms & conditions of the pack involved photos of the party in the most creative way possible such as home made foods and themes suitable to MGR. The only thing that was forbidden was uploading footage, screenshots and spoilers from the game. Photos were posted on Konami official blogs 2/2

#MetalGearMonday feature is the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance European Party Pack. Konami offered fans to host a party of up to 4 people to celebrate the upcoming release of MGR. The pack contained the game, posters, 3D posters, t-shirts, pamphlets, badges, balloons, wristbands and pens. 1/2

Happy 15th anniversary to Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker released on this day in Japan 2010.

Whilst the rest of the world didn’t get it till June, I have deep fond memories of this game especially attending the launch at HMV and UNIQLO in London during the Peace Walker World Tour.

Was a great time.

Metal Gear In Concert is finally coming to the UK after avoiding us for the first two tours they did!

The vinyl itself, it made of cardboard and houses the true format - a CD.

Its chosen appearance of a vinyl record is to give off a more retro feel as the game’s story is set 1964.

The letters on the front cover (ТРИ) translates to ‘tri’, which is Russian for three. 3/3

Today’s #MetalGearMonday feature is the Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater (Abstracted Camouflage) single.

This single was handed out to attendees who visited Konami’s panel during E3 2004. It contains the remix of the main theme ‘Snake Eater’ performed by Cynthia Farrell. #MetalGearCollection 1/3

Due to the FOXHOUND dog tag being numbered differently to the one from the original release, many believed that 5000 of these were handed out.

#MetalGearSolid Delta: Snake Eater has officially got a release date thanks to the latest trailer via PlayStation Store app.

3. The FOXHOUND dog tag are numbered between 35001-40000 where as the one that that came inside the standard package was numbered between 00001 - 35000.

The OST, t-shirt, discs, manual, inserts and memory stickers remain unchanged.

Some of the contents also had a few changes from the standard Premium Package.

1. The game and its obi don’t sport a barcode. Instead it will have the text “Not For Sale” in its place.

#MetalGearMonday feature No.2 is the Metal Gear Solid Bond Issuance Commemoration Premium Package.

This gold coloured Premium Package was handed out to Konami Japanese shareholders who invested in Metal Gear Solid in 1998. Each one came with a small thank you letter. #MetalGearCollection

There are many self made versions of the mug sold in places like Etsy but this one here is the official Konami licensed one as seen on the side of the mug.

#MetalGearMonday feature No.1 is the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain official licensed “I ❤️ DD” coffee mug.

Seen in game used by Huey during the Battle Gear intro cutscene. The mug was officially released by GBEye in the UK and some parts of Europe. #MetalGearCollection

I can’t afford to preorder a new one now! Anyone I miss out of this edition I swear to high heaven.

Due to distribution problems, the European release of MGS2 was severely delayed until early 2002. As an apology for the delay, Konami added a new difficulty exclusive to the European version and the Making Of DVD (which was originally a Japanese preorder bonus) bundled inside all copies of the game.

Today’s #MetalGearMonday feature is the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty steel tin case and playing cards.

Both of these items were pre-order bonuses when purchasing the game at Virgin Megastore in the UK in 2002. #MetalGearCollection

However, pre-purchasing video games wasn’t as big and important back then as it is today so many of these memory cards were left over and ended up being sold separately or handed out with every purchase of the game.

Today’s #MetalGearMonday feature is the Metal Gear Solid memory card by Joy Tech

Accordingly this memory card was a pre-order bonus when purchasing Metal Gear Solid or its Premium Package at Woolworths in the UK during 1998. #MetalGearCollection

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater will use the original title screen backdrop for those playing the game in Legacy Mode.

That being said, it’s still not an excuse to go mad and purchase bulks and bulks of the same product. Leave some of everyone else y’know.

Greed and selfishness is killing the hobby.

In the heat of the current Pokémon TCG incidents, remember to never give scalpers and resellers the time of day. Even if you are desperate. Go give your customs to actual businesses who care for both the game, the hobby and community and help keep their businesses alive.

They deserve it more.

So yeah, this is now a thing.
