I might just nuke this post idk. I don’t know if this semi-outsider perspective was any useful. I have no intention of joining the place to make a difference myself because as mentioned, I don’t really feel welcome in it. You all can pitch in for this one, ig.

An online multiplayer shooter without traditional mouse controls that you can only play full price on nintendo was gonna make this an uphill battle, and it’s one I don’t see getting any easier as the prices for shit go up. Tolerance for racism has to be ZERO to make this work.

Late to hearing what happened, as usual. I don’t want to dredge up old, unproductive points I’ve made, but jackpot is the perfect encapsulation of every reason I never joined splat comp. The community is too suburban and white. People that will never understand why the words that were said hurt.

There's pretty much unanimous criticism for the way Madness handled things so I'm not exactly sure why the majority of posts are condemning the community at large. This seems like the exact type of response that's been asked for, people DO care. That's pretty clear sign of progress, no?

I'm VERY vocal about providing space for growth and change (including Jackpot). At the same time, I have no patience for those who don't take that opportunity seriously.

Madness has clearly shown unwillingness to take accountability. That behavior does not warrant acceptance from the community.
