Fox wanted to be here. Placed total faith in a franchise that hasn’t won in a while. Put Kings over a barrel, gave Spurs leverage to get him for nothing.

Wouldn’t have been very Spurs-ian (or good business) to say, “Screw you, we have Harper now."

At the end of the day, I think the extension was, unofficially, part of the trade.

On players,
- Sochan is all about the shot. If that develops, absolutely! If not, still a rotation guy.
- A healthy Vassell is a low end starter or great rotation piece.
- Keldon projects for 12-15 minutes.

This. I think two years is the runway and from there it's how Harper turns out and how Fox plays.

The only thing I want to know is our coaching staff has the backbone to disregard paychecks when deciding minutes. *If* Harper is who people tell me he will be, I don't want him on the pine because of sunken costs.

I personally wouldn’t have maxed him off rip, but the talent is there and you *just* gave up stuff to get him in the building. Clearly you want him part of this next era.

It’ll feel rough if he’s, like, the 13th best PG in the league or something.
