Oh I thought it was that scene from the books where Moggy has a secret lair where she breaks people to her will. So Jaichim goes from being an instrument of the Shadow (Ishy) to Moggy’s. Because he agrees to something at the end of it doesn’t he?

Last I saw him on the show he was getting broken by Moggy. In the books the dark lord has his entire family killed and then has him drowned in a wine barrel for being useless
I love the Liandrin arc but it’s a very show thing. They’ve basically done that thing of finding their own space within an existing story than present the story — which is why I think of the show as fanfiction.
We also haven’t seen Shadow Lews show up for Rand which cuts into multiple storylines
And I don’t like that because Valda’s character’s whole thing is that men are evil even without ideology, that self interest will lead men into evil just as well. Which also ties into larger themes for the book whereas Jaichim obvs is under Moggy’s control.
Also I don’t like that they apparently think the whitecloaks are interchangeable. With Valda gone, I think Jaichim is gonna be that character arc and then Dain is just as useless here as in the books I guess.
Ok that has to be a fake out. If not that completely changes the story.
