All Greenpeace entities involved will appeal this ruling in the US.

And Greenpeace International is already taking Energy Transfer to court in the Netherlands under the EU’s anti-SLAPP directive.

Let’s be clear: this type of corporate bullying is designed to rob us of our rights and freedoms.

Across the world, those who speak out are facing corporate intimidation – all so billionaires and corporations can keep getting richer while the planet burns.

That’s what Greenpeace International and Greenpeace entities in the US have been ordered to pay.

It’s the biggest damage award ever imposed on Greenpeace organisations. It’s meant to shut the movement up.

Energy Transfer has pursued this intimidation lawsuit because Greenpeace USA and Greenpeace International dared to show solidarity with Indigenous environmental defenders who oppose the climate-wrecking Dakota Access Pipeline.

This case was never about justice. It was about silencing protest and crushing solidarity.

Trump recalled the 2025 Texas floods but neglected to mention the oil and gas pollution that supercharged those storms. Instead, he continues to enrich the very Big Oil companies and executives who are fueling this extreme weather. It’s time to Make Polluters Pay for the damage!

Trump says “American oil production is up by more than 600,000 barrels a day…American natural gas production is at an all time high because I kept my promise to drill, baby, drill.” Meanwhile, 2024 was the hottest year on record, w/ 150+ extreme weather events, fuelled by the emissions from Big Oil.

Trump says “America is back bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before” ??? But billionaires and industrial polluters are the ones getting rich while average Americans are suffering. Big Oil should pay to clean up the mess they made and protect the environment that we all rely on.
