the problem with having friends who are now faculty
Me: doing theoretical physics means learning how to solve all kinds of problems with sophisticated mathematical modeling
Also me:
being a postdoc like “oh boy a new job cycle time to remake all of my friends for the 8th year in a row”
that is 100% what is occurring
it took me a second but i got there hahaha
i use the phrase "on-shell" to describe how likely social plans are to actually happen.
