Today is my last day at the agency I've been at for 12 years. I start a pretty different job next month but until then I'll be travelling to Qingdao (China) for a couple of days, then onto South Korea for ~3 weeks!

I've been doing 1 "all-in on AI" day a week and it's been my most frustrating day by far. Even when plugging in MCPs, crafting claude(.)md and very detailed prompts I can't get a result I'm happy with.

It couldn't even reliably copy/paste my changes from 1 file to others which also needed updating.

It's beautiful! I saw it in Riga last year and they're very proud of it. There was a lot of cat memorabilia and statues.

I try using Claude and Copilot once a week and I am disappointed with the results every time. It fails on basic tasks, produces lots of redundant code, and is often inaccessible.

I was surprised at how good konbini hash browns are. I'm off to Korea next month so I'll be comparing their convenience stores.

I reckon that's highly likely. I find my mind wanders more when I leave devices behind.

What if some client-side browsing features were part of the web platform?

Direct CSS reflection of URL state, snappy pending/optimistic UI, URL-to-scroll-snap binding, and some basic same-document navigation use cases, with JS being only an option.

They're adorable! I went down a YouTube rabbit hole of people converting their Kei trucks into camper vans. This person essentially built a small house they could load on the bed and go camping.

Yeah, that definitely plays a part. Lorry drivers can do some crazy manoeuvres but the average person's skill level is much more suited to a small car.

I really wish Kei cars could be a thing here. I loved that about Japan.
