I am very tempted to say it to our content writers but I'm not sure it would go down well!
Great talk btw, you've tempted me to buy Steel Rising as I never finish souls-like games π

Sounds like a trip to Rough Trade East would sort you out. Enjoy whatever you end up doing!

I like the vibe though, I've been missing something like this since Detectorists.

My tool research strategy hasn't changed much for years. Do actual work, try something new in between projects, use it on the next project if it seemed good enough.
I think I just kind of got used to the FOMO though. I try not to let it get to me or keep me from getting real work done.
Video game developers: not every gamer is sitting six inches away from their screen. Some of us game in our living rooms where the TV is several meters away from where we're sitting. Please include the option to enlarge onscreen text.

It's been a long time since I've used Linux but I recently used Fedora to breathe new life into an Intel 2019 Macbook Pro, courtesy of t2linux.org
It's obviously not an option for everyone but general performance has been better than liquid-ass MacOS. Fans are kinda noisy with some games though!

My electric shaver died and I just tried using a regular razor for the first time in years. I won't be doing that again. I look like Electrode.

I used Browserosaurus for a while after reading your article. It was good but occasionally decided that it didn't want to open the browser prompt.
I should probably test out the others at some point.

π£ NEW! Iβve just released the BIGGEST and perhaps most creative project Iβve ever worked on!
βSearching for Birdsβ searchingforbirds.visualcinnamon.com π€
A project, an article, an exploration that dives into the data that connects humans with birds, by looking at how we search for birds.
I've been on a bit of a social media hiatus, but I've written a new post about something that's been on my mind a lot lately localghost.dev/blog/stop-ge...

Fair enough. For what it's worth the description requests "comprehensive knowledge of... one frontend framework and willingness to learn Vue.js." I'm not on that team though so I can't say for certain exactly what they're looking for.
I hope the search goes well!
I dunno if Vue is your cup of tea but we have an opening on the Storyblok product team.

My contract is ending at the end of February and so Iβd like to find a new role ASAP.
I am a senior-level design systems developer / design technologist / front-of-the-frontend developer that specializes in web accessibility.
I work remotely from my home in Winnipeg, Canada. π¨π¦

Iβm not a big user of BlueSky (yet), but if anyone sees this Iβm looking for work.
Iβm a front-end developer, with a focus on low-carbon, design-led, accessible, websites β often using Astro and headless CMSs like Storyblok.
Iβm open to freelance or possibly the right perm role π€
I don't suppose anyone has collated a list of good front-end or web conferences worth attending somewhere? Ideally with information such as dates and ticket prices.

As a sponsor of this year's State of the Browser conference, I have one online ticket to give away. I'd love to give it to a student or some who otherwise can't afford it.
If your interested, send me DM. :)

It's weird how common this is becoming. I see it all the time now, even on some pretty high profile sites. Everyone is using a Mac I guess.
