I lived in York for a couple of years. I knew people who were racially harassed often. My best friend was called a homophobic slur and "whore." I myself was verbally harassed and sworn at simply for existing. York is a beautiful city, but the harassment is unreal sometimes.

Where will all this end?
I dread to think.
Next time you’re in York, do make a point of popping in to the Dragon House Chinese takeaway to show them this doesn’t represent the decent majority in the UK.
