I think the audience matters. If I’m talking to a group/zoom of teens, I will talk differently than I would those in their 20s and 30s. #AYACSM

A4. Finding our fellow advocates; I just connected with another AYA survivor on LinkedIn today who is doing great work specifically addressing sexuality and intimacy in cancer survivorship. The more we can connect and use our voices collectively and collaboratively, the stronger the message #AYACSM

For people who look like me, it’s never over. The stressors of dealing with microaggressions in EVERY area is beyond exhausting. There is no safe space. I thought the AYA cancer space would be different, but it’s the same. #AYACSM

Agree - we need diversity in race, abilities, etc. It makes for stronger teams when everyone is included! #ayacsm

We used to use things like Hootsuite and others to manage our accounts (e.g., posting schedule). Some people still do. I tend to be more organic these days. #AYACSM

The other challenge is that, wearing both hats, I have this professional & personal responsibility to speak up against social injustices as well as the misinformation and flat-out lies my government is putting out there. I’m happy to do it; it’s necessary to do it; but it’s also exhausting #AYACSM

How do we push the field forward if we do not address racism? It has to be access and equity for everyone #AYACSM

I’m the only Black director where I work and have had my words sanitized when addressing racism in cancer bcos they’re so worried abt offending people. #AYACSM
