We saw inclusion and accessibility improve overnight.
We saw accommodations put in place that we had spent years begging for.
We saw the world adapt.
That hope was ripped away during the rush back to normal.
It still hurts.

I can’t explain how big a deal this is for vulnerable people who’ve spent the last 6 years begging people to mask up to protect us.
This is visible ally ship.
This is community care.
This is leading by example.

The rise of online vibrant events in early Covid offered a lot of hope for disabled/chronically ill people who have access issues attending IRL events (including going into a flare later). Anti-Zoom reactive sentiment pushed a lot of people into being more isolated again.
