Omg, I am so jealous! 🧡🧡🧡
I’m in the Central Valley where they do alright, but they are downright amazing over on the coast… the grass is always greener… 😘💚
>sigh<
I’m so excited to celebrate these connections one last time for our “Heart Rhythms” closing reception! Come see my mixed media pieces dance alongside the bold abstracts of Judy Knott & the intricate fiber arts of Judy Coates Perez.

Caught between the sea and the sky.
"Between Worlds" explores that quiet, ethereal space where different parts of nature meet. Using mixed media, this piece is a window into the subtle connections we share with the world around us.

I’d love to know: What is one tiny miracle you’ve noticed today? A patch of sunlight? A bird at the window? Let’s fill the comments with some good news.
#natureastherapy #mindfulliving #slowdownandlook #hopeandhealing
Between the headlines and doomscrolling, it’s so easy to lose sight of the sunlight through the trees or the quiet life happening right at our feet. Lately, I've been reminding myself that we don't have to carry it all at once. We just have to be present for the beauty in our path.
Is your heart feeling a little too heavy?
That weight of the world you’re holding onto? Be careful with that because if we carry the global news as our personal burden long enough, it’ll steal our capacity to see the miracles right in front of us. Just a friendly reminder.
Just a couple months in spring, but thanks 🥰
I struggle with Christmas cactus as well! 😆
There’s no freeway you ca hear from my home. I got lucky with no cars on the street while I was filming. 😉
Mine as well 💚
That’s amazing!
My front yard, near Sacramento, CA. Thanks.
Beautiful! I can’t get mine to grow here in Northern California….
And I am one… 😉😂
Absolutely
Closing reception THIS SATURDAY! I’d love to walk you through the textures & stories behind these works.
Sat Mar 14, 4-8 PM
Jane Gallery, Sacramento (Alhambra & J St, next to Limelight)
I’m honored to be sharing this "collective rhythm" alongside two other incredible artists. Together our work invites you to slow down & listen to the subtle beat connecting us all to the natural world.
Do you find more peace in the promise of a new beginning, or the quiet reflection of an end?
Life, death & the beautiful space in between. "Hope Springs Eternal" & "Beginning’s End,” two sides of the same coin. These pieces look at the cycles of growth and decay, patterns that are as organic as a bird's nest & as deeply human as our own rhythms.

I’ve been thinking about how we can protect that music in our own small ways, from saving a single insect to the bigger ways we show up for each other. I just shared a reflection on my blog about truly making a difference.

World feeling a little loud lately?
"The earth has music for those who listen." George Santayana.
This hit me because my art is a collaboration with the earth. When we strip away environmental protections for profit, we aren't just losing resources; we’re losing the music that sustains our spirits.
Join us for the Closing Reception to see these textures in person!

Can you feel the rhythm of renewal?
"Everything New" & "Seasons Change" are at Jane Gallery for “Heart Rhythms,” exploring the link between our inner lives and the natural world - growth, decay, and the steady beat of starting again.

I feel like you’re just trying to pick a fight.
Christ taught non-violence. Christians are to be following his example.
Every layer of acrylic, every pressed leaf, every stroke of color pencil is a reminder that we have the power to curate the peace we need.
What is one small thing you do to find your "refuge" when things feel heavy? Let’s share some light in the comments.
