The record for most nominating ballots in a year was 2016, when 4,032 people put in a nominating ballot.
We have two weeks to convince 3,000 more people to nominate so that @laworldcon.bsky.social breaks that record.
LETS GET TO IT!
Last year, there were a total of 1,338 nominating ballots cast.
In last year's Hugo shortlist, there were ten works that missed making the ballot by two votes or fewer. Several might have made the ballot with one more vote

The Space Shuttle Challenger Monument in Los Angeles honors the seven astronauts who died in the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.
Dedicated in 1990, it features a 1/10-scale replica of the shuttle on a granite pedestal with plaques remembering astronaut Ellison S. Onizuka and the crew.
