Iβm looking for good resources for a Population and Community Ecology course Iβm teaching in the fall. Anyone have suggestions? A textbook would be great, but Iβm also looking for solid papers and activity ideas.

We also observed an overall downward trend in aerial basking as water temperatures increased throughout the summer leading into fall hibernation.

We used light-level dataloggers to compare intersexual variation in basking behavior of northern map turtles across their active season. We found that males and females spent a similar amount of time basking overall, but the timing of peak basking differed between the two sexes.

We report that nearly half of the variation in research effort on 293 bird species in the US+Canada is explained by just 3 factors: 1) visual appeal, 2) breeding range size, & 3) # of universities w/in that range. Hereβs what we did:π§΅
