Actually I thought NB.1 may perform well and become somehow dominant, but it fails. Seems that mrna/non-mrna people have different antibodies especially towards S:Q493E. Mrna regions likely to circulate 493E variants while non-mrna regions circulate 493Q variants(KP.2.3, MV.1, LF.7, NB.1) .

I bet from like 2024-5 when it starts to become the major variant in China.

Viral evolution seems also have its own scaling laws, and variants come from populated areas are usually better and more dominative.
