I think this is likely to be a group of scammers, possibly operating out of an office/call center, who target game dev communities.

I have banned two of these scammers from the server at the time of writing, and I'm keeping an eye on a potential third scammer. Also in the process of scambaiting a fourth one who isn't in the server.

Just a heads up, but there appears to be a scam going around on Discord that targets game developers
The scammer will reach out, claim to be a game promoter and offer to promote your game before asking for payment.
